A sound ringing out sheds that which was carried through the winter. Patiently unfolding as not to beckon in bluntly. The sun setting, yet in anticipation of it’s full return

From the label:
Recorded on the vernal equinox, the beginning of Spring in the Northern hemisphere, this aptly named piece offers a ray of sunlight to warm yourselves beside in the Winter. The band, Picture Rather Muted, consists of Psoma alumni Nicholas Maloney (also known as Blanket Swimming) and Victoria Maloney, who collaborate in sonic as well as photographic terms.
To our ears, 'Spring Equinox' is like a blanket to surround yourself with, full of humming timbres that have been assembled with careful and patient hands. It would appeal to fans of sustained tone minimalism (such as the previous catalog contributions from Limestone Ziggurat, Mosca, Leigh Coleman, NYZ and of course Maloney himself) and will yield much richer listening experiences with either a nice set of headphones, or an open-air speaker system with considerable bass frequency output.
